Tami Boyd

Founder, Executive Director

Known for a tireless work ethic, energy and hands-on approach, Tami Boyd is the founder and Executive Director of Living On Purpose ATL, Incorporated (LOPATL). She has been an advocate for the rights of returning citizens and those in the carceral system for several years. She has participated on panel discussions, spoken at conferences, met with legislators and is an active member of organizations that work to effect positive change in the area of juvenile and adult criminal justice.

Prior to starting LOPATL, Tami, along with four other amazing women, started a Garden Enrichment Program at a women’s prison in Georgia while working at the ATL Community Food Bank. The program was designed to empower participants through urban agriculture, horticultural therapy, and leadership development. The very first cohort harvested over 1,000 lbs of produce that was given to community members living in food apartheids.

Tami’s passion for serving the community started many years ago. She served as the Executive Director of St. Paul’s Outreach Center (SPOC) in the Metro Atlanta area where she led and executed programs designed to assist residents with basic needs, education improvement, job placement, healthcare services and started a Food Coop. Before her role as Executive Director, she was employed by IBM for 20 plus years where she spent most of her career in sales and marketing.

Tami is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc , serves as a Gangstas To Growers Board Member, a planning committee member of End Mass Incarceration GA Network, Department of Juvenile Justice Task Force and Dekalb County Community Supervision Steering Committee.

When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, horseback riding and Zumba. Tami holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Spelman College, has a wonderful husband and three beautiful children.

Donna Johnson-Butler

SECRETARY

Donna Butler is a native of Massachusetts. She attended Spelman College where she majored in Child Development. She then went on to work for and retire from the Atlanta Public School system. Donna is a veteran educator, a child advocate and ordained chaplain.

 

Sonia Kidd

Principal, Kidd & Associates

 A successful entrepreneur and owner of Kidd and Associates for several years.  She is responsible for overseeing several large projects and has a background in insurance.

Diane Perry

TREASURER

An experienced Licensed Realtor with a demonstrated history of working in the real estate industry for the past 12 years. A caring listener to the needs of others, and her ability to connect through effective communication has prepared her to function on this Board. Was successfully employed by IBM for over 25 years. She is skilled in Luxury Home Sales, Sales Management, Real Estate Transactions, and Investment Properties. A strong sales professional who hails from the University of Cincinnati, College of Business.

 

Liana Henry

As Regional Counsel of a federal agency, she leads a regional division that provides legal advice and representation in the areas of federal contracts, employment law, and ethics. In her personal time, she enjoys serving with her church and listening to live music.
